Brett began his career at Jones & Associates as a summer intern, working as a draftsman and field technician. Since 2000, he has been actively engaged with municipal clients, bringing a wealth of experience to his role. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Utah State University in 2003 and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Utah. Brett currently serves as a Principal Engineer at the company, specializing in municipal engineering.
In his role, Brett reviews and approves development projects, including subdivisions and commercial site plans, for various communities. He provides valuable expertise as an engineering consultant at city council meetings, planning commission meetings, public hearings, and project meetings. His work includes master planning and addressing utility systems and infrastructure needs for clients. Brett has designed a wide range of facilities, including streets, wastewater systems, stormwater management, drinking water systems, irrigation systems, and parks.
Additionally, Brett has significant experience coordinating with state and federal agencies on issues related to stormwater, floodplains, wastewater, irrigation, and drinking water. His leadership extends beyond his professional duties, as he has served as President and on the Board of Directors for both the Utah City Engineers Association and the Utah Engineers Council.
