Construction Manager

Jones & Associates Consulting Engineers is seeking a qualified Construction Manager to provide civil infrastructure construction management services. We are a Civil Engineering consulting firm located in South Ogden, Utah. We specialize in services to Municipalities, Counties and Service Districts that are located in northern Utah.

Salary:             $24.00 – $48.00 / hour – Full Time Position

Required Qualifications:

  • Secondary Education in Construction-Related Field OR 2+ Years of Construction Experience
  • Ability to Read and Interpret Civil Infrastructure Plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong Communication Abilities (Written and Oral)
  • Good Team Member
  • Positive, Friendly Personality
  • Professional Appearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
  • Work Experience in the Field of Civil Engineering
  • Experience in the Design and Construction of Water, Sewer, Storm Drain, Streets, Irrigation, and Parks Projects
  • Field Survey and Construction Staking Experience
  • UPDES Stormwater Program Experience
  • Experience Using Drone Technology
  • Ability to Understand and Implement Technical Specifications and Construction Standards
  • Computer Aided Drafting Capability (AutoCAD / Civil 3D)

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Provide Construction Inspections & Management Services on Municipal Projects
  • Provide Construction Oversight on Developments within Municipalities
  • Provide Constructability & Value Engineering Review of Designs for Water, Sewer, Storm Drain, Streets, Irrigation, and Parks Projects
  • Prepare Project Cost Estimates, Escrow Releases, Inspection Reports, and Pay Requests
